Project Title: Newton Fund (STFC-NARIT) Project on GOTO Astronomical Data Handling
Project Length: 3 years
Number of Scholarship: 2 (contact: firstname.lastname@example.org)
About the Project: Our year-long (later extended to three years) project focuses on training Thai students in developing Machine Learning algorithms to analyse large quantities of digital data. The goal of the project is to provide the students with a highly valuable skillset that can be applied to a wide range of services in both the public and private sectors. Once skilled-up, the students will be able to provide training in “Big Data” analysis to other Thai students and workers within their chosen work sectors. Furthermore, by fostering collaboration between the Thai and UK partners, the project will facilitate further training beyond the first year. As such, our project represents a sustainable investment in the development of a highly skilled workforce that is essential for Thailand to avoid the middle-income “trap” and become a high-income economy.
